Custom Trips
Hire a private mountain guide for your ski,
mountaineering or rock climbing trip. If you have an idea
for an adventure that isn’t featured, custom design a trip to
meet your needs. This could be anything from a one day peak
accent to a week long ski traverse in a remote mountain range.
I am certified by the international Federation of Mountain
Guides Association (IFMGA) this allows me to guide anywhere in
the world from Alps of Europe
to the Andes in Peru
or the Himalayas.

Some examples of custom mountaineering trips
include, Mt Temple, Mt
Victoria or Mt Fay in the Canadian
Rockies. Rock climbing peaks include alpine
climbs such as Mt Louis or long multipitch routes in the
Red Rocks area of
Nevada. In the Alps some possibilities for custom trips are the
Eiger, Mt Blanc
and the Matterhorn, often the three
of them together. Many times clients who design custom trips aren’t
specific about their objectives. They plan on doing a week of
climbing in an area such as the Western Alps, the
Dolomites or Banff
and climb whichever peaks are suitable for the conditions. If you
are travelling to a range and are not familiar with the
possibilities, I can suggest some of the best climbs.
Private ski touring trips can range from one
day at Rogers Pass to fully catered
and guided ski traverses such as the Wapta Traverse
or the Haute Route. For ski trips groups
often organise a hut and ask for a guide for the week.
Hiring a private guide allows you the flexibility
to design your own trip to suit your needs and schedule. It also
allows for more individual attention and a more intensive learning
experience. It also allows you to change plans easily if weather or
conditions dictate.
Price: $450
Canadian per day for one person. $50 per day extra for each
additional person. Note this is for guiding fees only and
does not include additional expenses such as hut fees, ski lifts
or food.
